There are 2 ways to come up the mountain. If you are in a car or truck, just choose the closest way. If you are in an RV or are towing a trailer, take the easy way up, trust me on this...

TakeI-20 to US 231 at exit 158A, or take I-59toUS 231 at exit 166. Gonorth on US 231 untilyouseetheHorsePens40signs.(From I-20:22 milesorso north.)(From I-59: 3milesorso north.) Turn right on Co. Rd. 35. Driveslowlyandcarefullyandfollowthesigns. Take the 2nd paved road on the right onto Co. Rd. 42. CAUTION: Co. Rd. 42 is a very steep, twisty mountain road!NO TRAILERS or RVs!!! We'reontopofthemountainontheright.Turnonin at our main gate andbesuretostopatthecountrystoreandsignin.Welookforwardtoseeingyousoonuponthemountain!

TakearightontoCo.Rd.42andgotothetopofthemountain.CountyRd.42willturnleftat the old Roger'sStore (now closed) atthe very topofthemountain.(Thereisa'HorsePens40'signthere). TurnleftontoCo.Rd.42andfollowitaroundfor3milesorsoandyouwillseeoursplitrailfenceandlargegateontheleft. (There is a large 'Horse Pens 40' sign there.)
